Youth rally draws Rev George Schuler of Orlando

The Rev George B Schuler of Orlando Florida will speak and perform at the Manito Youth for Christ rally Saturday February 5 at Forman Gym with doors open for seating and a free will offering. He will also speak Sunday morning at the Manito Community Methodist Church and perform at Spring Lake Church Sunday evening. Schuler, author of The Why Worry Psalm and composer of Overshadowed Make Me a Blessing and hymn arrangements, travels widely with the Door of Hope Mission and has lectured at Moody Bible Institute.

Frank G. Collier Dies At Dunlap

Frank G. Collier, 64, custodian at Dunlap Consolidated Grade School for over two years, died Monday in Dunlap. Funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest City Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Made officiating. Burial in Forest City Cemetery. Born December 23, 1890 in Forest City, son of Franklin P. and Martha Niekirk Collier. Survived by wife Veda Williams, one son William Collier of Victorville, California, and two grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death.

Mrs Stuart Thomas Named Heart Fund Campaign Chair

Mrs Stuart Thomas was chosen to chair the 1955 Heart Fund Campaign in Manila Illinois for February. Dr James A Walsh president of the Illinois Heart Association announced the appointment with Mrs Leroy Parkins as co chairwoman. Mayor Carroll Farnam voiced support noting the nation spends more on playing cards than heart research and that Illinois suffers over 63972 annual heart deaths.

MYF Valentine Banquet Plans Draw Community Youth
