The For man Senior High School music department presents a Christmas Concert on Thursday December 20 at 8 oclock in the High School Gym under Miss Alice Conovers direction. The program includes solo and choral pieces by Buchtel Adams and Lehmann with performances by the Band, Clarinet and Girls and Boys Choruses plus readings and a mixed chorus.

The talent play Aunt Emma Sees it Thru directed by Everett Woiwode and sponsored by Forman School and Community Club was produced Tuesday evening in Forest City and last evening in Manila. Audiences were well pleased with each player's performance. The cast and director are congratulated on the acting. A large crowd attended both performances.

Funeral for John H. Hilst Held in Manito
Funeral services for John H. Hilst 69 were held Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. D J Powell officiating and burial in Meadow Lawn Cemetery. Hilst born October 10 1882 in Manito spent life near Manito. married Mary Potts in 1907. He worked 18 years for Chicago and North Western Railway, retired 1948. Survived by two sons Lester Otto Hilst four daughters Martha Wainwright Hanna Parker Marian Harris Lillie Hilst one brother George Hilst Pekin and five grandchildren.

Bible Exhibit Draws Wide Participation at Church
A Manito Methodist Church display featured about twenty five Bible columns of various sizes and ages. A 131 year old Bible belonged to the pastor Rev Powell and Mrs Reuben Golden won oldest book prize. Mrs Raymond Teyer earned best unusual volume for a large German family Bible with concordance and many illustrations.
