Forman School Club ET Donates to Gym Amplifier Fund
The Forman School club met April 28 at Spring Lake School and voted $200 for an amplifier in Forman Senior High Gym. A nominating committee named for next year includes Alice Heyl Lola Halley and Lillie Whitaker. The program featured Pernman student talent with solos duets trios and a musical stunt performed by local students.

William Eichelberger aged 67 died at 2 pm Wednesday in a Peoria hospital. A Manila resident for three years and former Pekin native born February 2, 1887, he worked for the Western Weighing and Inspection Bureau of Peoria. Survived by a brother Joseph Eichelberger of Fargo and cousins in Manila, his body lies at Johnson Funeral Home pending 2 pm Friday service at Johnson with Rev. Joseph W. Hobbs officiating. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Manito.

Forman Welcomes New Teacher and Coach
Forman Junior High hires Mr. Raley, a United States Air Force veteran, to lead physical education for all grades and coordinate a PK program. He coached air force basketball and baseball, organized a 350 man recreational program in Greenland, and earned multiple school and college honors. He and his wife, a former health and physical education teacher, plan to move to Manila in August after his release.

All first and second grade students whose parents signed vaccination forms will receive their first polio shot on Monday April 25 as part of a county wide program. Vaccinations will be given at Manito Gymnasium with transportation arranged for students to Manito and back on May 9.
