Stock Sale Report Shows Large Auction of Sheep and Cattle

J Byrnes reports a Thursday stock sale with 4985 sheep and about 1000 cattle sold, plus private sheep sales. Cattle included 375 fat animals and store cattle, with varied values. notable lots from Glenriddle Past Co and Alexander Park. Hospital Auxiliary at Manilla Hospital Board Meeting

Matron Staples reported on Ladies Auxiliary activities since August. Membership was low. a street stall netted £47 2s 6d and Armas Tree in December brought in £46 0s 3d. The Auxiliary paid half the cost of a new electric mixer. the Board covered the rest. Gifts were given to patients at Christmas. They consider buying eiderdowns for staff beds. A street stall is planned for May 2 with donations sought.
