The Florida orange market remained weak with little demand amid poor fruit condition due to wet weather. Ordinary fruit sold 1.25 to 2.75 dollars, sound fruit 1.50 to 2, fancy Indian River 2.50 to 3, grapefruit scarce 4 to 6.50, lettuce glut kept prices low, beans, peppers, and tomatoes varied, berries scarce and mostly 25 to 40 cents.

The Manatee Banking Company held its annual stockholders meeting with nearly all shares represented. The report showed a prosperous year despite the financial panic. Cashier Emery E. Johnson and Assistant Cashier Perry R. Curry were reelected to their posts as officers. Directors elected include R. H. Johnson, K. W. Wiggins, R. M. Glazier, R. B. Johnson, Mrs. R. H. Johnson, E. E. Johnson, and Perry R. Curry.

Pencil Pushers Convene in Manatee County Meeting

The Press Association of Manatee county held a Monday afternoon gathering at Bradenton with C. V. S. Wilson J. W. Bell J. A. Humphries and Frank A. Walpole present. After adjournment editors were entertained by Editor and Mrs Joseph H. Humphries at a six o clock dinner on Ware's creek. The group discussed newspaper matters and jokingly debated wealth from publishing.

Nearing the End Mrs McDuffee Near Death as Illness Deepens

Mrs. T. M. McDuffee, whose serious illness was reported last week, is nearing death. Doctors say there is no hope for recovery and death could come at any hour, relieving her of suffering.

The toast honored each editor with wit and humor as the editors bade good-night to Mr and Mrs Humphries. The Association will meet in Palmetto on Monday after next with Editor Bell hosting a 6 o'clock dinner for members.
