Jurgens Celebrate 25th Wedding Anniversary in Glenwood

Mr and Mrs Duane Jurgens of Glenwood mark their 25th wedding anniversary on Wednesday August 17 at the Sundown Supper club in Glenwood. Mrs Jurgens formerly Lois Jones of Malvern. Their children Valerie Vanessa Vanda and Vance Jurgens host. Invitations not sent and gifts not requested. Cocktail hour 8 to 9 pm followed by a dance with The Brass Design.

Campbells Honored At Pot Luck Picnic

A July 31 potluck at the Malvern Gun Club park honored Bob and Bettie Campbell. Nancy Witte led a short program after which the Campbells received a silver tray from Silver Urn Chapter 168 of Malvern. The couple will move to Texas in early fall and will be greatly missed.

4 H Delegates to Model in State Fair Fashion Revue

Shari Richter of Silver City will represent Mills County at the Iowa State Fair 4 H Fashion Revue August 22 27. She will model in two shows help judge delegates and learn grooming fashion trends and careers. Delegates will be bused to Younkers for judging and luncheon and will later model in a Tea Room session.

Malvern Thirty-Niners Elect Officers at September Meeting

The Malvern Thirty-Niners met August 2 at the Community building for a potluck with Henderson Senior Citizens. A short business session planned officers to be elected at the September 6 meeting. August birthday party set for August 16.

Martha Conrad joined Harry Conrads of Red Oak for a Wheeling visit to see sister Opal Mills. Delbert Sutton joined a family dinner at Avoca for Berniece Sutton. Gladys Evans returns home after ten days with Elsie Archer and daughters in Logan, then with Evan Jones family in So. Hill Virginia and Marjorie O’Neill in Tulsa.

Henderson Hornets 4-H Club Plans at July Meeting

The Henderson Hornets 4-H Club met July 20 at Henderson United Methodist Church to discuss selling popcorn at the Henderson Rodeo and plans for Mills County Fair. Presentations included Vaccinating Against Pseudorabies by Rod Bolton and Marking Your Machinery to Prevent Theft by Ronald McGrew and David McGrew.
