Funeral gathering spans cities and kin in village visit
City, Mo., called on his grandmother Mrs. Helen Quimby Sunday morning. Mrs. Fern Wallahan and son Bruce of Omaha visited Sunday afternoon. Art Hatfield of Colorado Springs returned to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law Melvin Walston. They plan to visit Delbert Sutton and Mae Scott at the village. Fair visit highlights 4-H exhibits and community antics
We attended the fair and saw 4-H steers flowers vegetables art quilts and furniture as well as people we knew. A helping hand aided seating mobility and even access to the rabbit exhibit. Blue ribbons were won. Frank Milley played harmonica on Thursday. Miss Margaret Morgan shopped Saturday with her sister. On Thursday Aug 11 NFO ladies hosted the August birthday party. We played bingo then enjoyed ice cream and cupcakes. Mrs Mary Carlstedt was away fishing.
