Genealogical Societies Plan Projects and Meeting

The Mills County Genealogical Society met at the Nishna Care Center in Malvern to plan obituaries clipping, library resource expansion, and winter education efforts for county history. A meeting is set for August 25 at 7 30 PM in the Mills County Historical Building in Glenwood, with Montgomery County society invited. contact Teresa Durbin or Barbara Douglas for details. Malvern Library marks record June circulation and story hour turnout

Margaret White reports June circulation at 1244 books, a new high, and 73 children attended the Children's Story Hour. Glenwood trip with Nishna Cottage members included Margaret Morgan, while Mary Carlstedt visited Duane Carlstedt's home. Margaret Hood is in Red Oak hospital. Russell Triplett moved to a Red Oak home to be closer to family. Hazel Hoover was out on Sunday. Malvern Leader offers printing services for envelopes and business materials.
