Federated Club Plans May Tour

Hastings Federated Women's Club met at Mrs. Gordon Malholland’s home in Malvern with 15 members present. The group planned a May 2 tour of Council Bluffs and the Dodge House, followed by a meal at the Granary, and invited members to arrange rides by April 29.

Dana McKee to wed Keith Wellhausen in August

Emerson announces the engagement of Dana McKee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McKee, to Keith Wellhausen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wellhausen. Dana, a Northwest Missouri State University graduate, teaches at Benson High School in Omaha. Keith attended Towa Western Community College and farms near Clarinda. The wedding is planned for August 2.

Pluma McGrew of rural Emerson was honored by the Mills County Farm Bureau Women as 1975 Homemaker of the Year at Farm Bureau Homemaker's Day in Malvern. Introduced by Mrs. Keith Mintle, she is a longstanding Farm Bureau leader and community volunteer, with deep family roots in Mills County.

Mills County Farm Bureau Home maker of the Year 1975

The Leads helped a friend in need as Mills County Farm Bureau named its Home maker of the Year 1975. Mrs. Bob Stille and Mrs. Darrell Lewis managed registration at a luncheon. Gary Maher welcomed, Alva Henderson led devotions, and a salad bar was enjoyed. The event featured committee reports, a Sweet Teens performance, and an Australia slides presentation by Susan Purnell. Malvern Couple E exchanges Vows in Silver City

Gladys Williams and Dale Allensworth of Malvern wed Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Silver City with Rev. Richard Malone officiating. The ceremony was attended by Mr. and Mrs. George Miller and 28 immediate family members, followed by a reception at Mrs. Allensworth’s country home. The couple will reside there and spend a few days in Missouri.
