Mount Hood Line Orders Forty Flat Cars

Mount Hood Railway and Power Company places an order with Hicks Locomotive and Car Works for 40 flatcars of 10 000 pounds capacity. Delivery to commence soon as construction resumes grading along the line from Portland to the Bull Run power station.

Alderdyce plans larger garden and crop rotation push

Culver resident Thomas Alderdyce announced in town last Saturday plans to expand his garden and truck farming. He will plant twelve acres of vegetables and winter crops and supports crop rotation as a farming method. George L. Simmon and Mr. Baker of Laidlaw discussed water supply for Three Sisters Irrigation County settlers with Simmons, the district’s newly appointed receiver, noting reservoirs would be built to serve the entire tract if needed.
