Department of the Interior at The Dalles Oregon issues a notice dated June 13 1908 that Berens E Friend formerly Lawler of Ashwood Oregon has filed to prove up a homestead entry No 8441 LF 5886 made July 16 1907 for a southwest quarter of section 2 township 1 range 8 west. Final five year proof will be made before the Register and Receiver at The Dalles Oregon on July 31 1908. Witnesses named are A G Kibbee Colburn McPherson of Laycreek Oregon Chester S McCorkle Knox D Huston of Rahwood Oregon and W Moor Register.
