Joseph Bannan a prominent Ashwood stock man died at his Little Trout Creek home and was buried in The Dalles. Horse Thieves Sentenced in The Dalles Court

Fred Jarrett and William Haight were tried in Cleun Court at The Dalles after capture near Shaniko by Deputy Sheriff Howell. Both pleaded guilty with Jarrett receiving five years in the penitentiary and Haight one and a half years. Jarrett had a prior record including reform school and penitentiary terms.
