Special Agent Meyendorff Dies in Portland

Hall guilty in land fraud conspiracy case in Portland

John H. Hall once United States Attorney for Oregon was found guilty of conspiracy against the Government in federal court at Portland. The verdict, returned last Saturday, also involves W W Steiner H L Hendricks and C B Zachary over unlawful fencing of Government land in Wheeler County. Hall faces possible sentence and has until April 1 to motion for a new trial.

Durham Taylor Nuptials Held in Prineville Home

Mr. Thomas A. Taylor and Miss Maude Durham were married at Jake Campbell's home in Prineville on February 5. The ceremony was by Rev. Dr. Danemorée with only close friends present. The couple, both of Marlins, plan to reside on the Little Plain where Taylor farms extensively. They returned from Prineville last Thursday.

Pinkerton Rents Big Wheat Ranch Near Pendleton

N H Pinkerton has rented a large wheat ranch near Pendleton, Umatilla County, about seven miles from town. He plans to move within two or three weeks to take possession and may sell farming implements while renting his Agency Plains farm. He intends to keep his local land and return in a few years when rail access improves. The Pinkertons are well known locally and will be missed by friends.
