Two Men Injured When Buggy Runaway Near Macomb

Homer Carey and John Tipton suffered skin loss and bruises after a loose shaft on their buggy spooked the horse. Glen Mallory acting deputy sheriff in Rushville was shot in the thigh while pursuing Lester Regan of Beardstown who fired about 12 shots. Tokyo theatre fire wipes out film rolls in ten minutes

A brief blaze at the Tokyo theatre owned by W F Grubb burned a roll of film and seven other reels in ten minutes. Ambrose Douglas tried to beat it with a small extinguisher as flames spread to nearby boxes. Former County Residents Return After 49 Years Visit
