A big crowd of over 500 watched the American Legion boxing exhibition at the Illi Theatre last night. Rayburn of Beardstown defeated Graves of Sciota by knockout, with four teeth broken and a lasting jaw impact. Frankie McCammon of Macomb impressed, scoring a swift knockout threat on Rayburn, while Craig Swann stopped Swan in the fourth, and Bradbury halted Jones in the fourth as well. Lambert Hillyer refereed satisfactorily, and the event is expected to raise about $125 for the club fund.
