Prairie City Man Found Dead After Coroner Inquest
Prairie City resident Biven Kernal, 65, unmarried, was found dead last night with heart trouble listed as the cause by a coroner’s jury after neighbors discovered the body about 8:30 a.m. Kernal, born in North Trenderson Illinois, moved to McDonough county in 1892 and served as Prairie City street commissioner for fifteen years. He was a member of the Prairie City IOOF lodge and is survived by four brothers Aaron of Macomb Frank of Prairie City John and Haskell of Avon. Funeral notice to appear tomorrow.

About 250 members of Odd Fellows lodges in the county gathered for the regular monthly meeting at WK of PL Talt. The first degree work was performed by the Macomb staff and the second by Bushnell members. Lewis Eastin received both degrees. Next meeting planned for Good Hope. A fine luncheon was served.
