AP dispatch from Springfield reports State Press Frank Farrington saying separate agreements between striking miners and operators are imminent in Kentucky Tennessee and Alabama. He cites locals signing independently in violation of United Mine Workers policy while Alabama officers order miners to resume work.
Monroe Motor Sales Co plans a new salesroom in the city by the first of the month. They currently operate from Conger garage with the Madson Essex Chevrolet and Oakland lines. The firm will also continue general repair work with a dedicated shop and a mechanic in charge for the new cars.
