Incendiary Fires Wreck Davenport Business District

Four fires in Davenport on April 26, all suspected arson. The Burgis opera house burned for about 60,000 dollars, Alexander the Crystal Gazer lost 20,000 dollars in equipment, and three other fires pushed total losses to around 110,000 dollars. No Trace Found in Colchester Car Robbery

Late this afternoon officers had no trace of the hold up men who Saturday night took a Ford car watch and $10 from Ralph V. Carson near Colchester after they bound and gagged the young man. Efforts continue to bring about arrests and recover the machine.
