Blandinsville Man Defend­ant Sued for Specific Performance

Luther E. VanArsdale of Blandinsville is sued in circuit court by William S. Carver and wife of Minnesota to compel him to buy a Blandinsville area farm in Fairbalt county Minnesota for 480 000. The bill says 6000 was to be paid with five stallions at Blandinsville and 6000 due March 1 plus 17000 mortgage and six percent interest from March 1, taxes to be paid. The action seeks enforcement of the contract’s terms. A. Bon and Frank Watson of Macomb are noted as parents of a newborn child at Phelps hospital.

Daylight Saving Wins by Vote in Aurora

Aurora voters approved daylight saving by a clear majority yesterday. About 15,000 Chicago workers living in Aurora influenced the outcome, and clocks will move forward one hour Sunday night and revert the last Sunday in September.

Fire Insurance Tax Brings Macomb Money

A state law requires fire insurance firms to pay 2 percent of premiums to the city of Macomb. Companies with local agencies writing more than $25 000 in policies yearly contribute to the fire department fund. Funds support new equipment and maintenance of current apparatus.

Pleads Guilty In Neglect Case Near Sciota Farm

Frank Statler, a young married man employed on a farm near Sciota, pled guilty this morning in Judge Ines court to a charge of neglect of his child and was ordered to pay $5.00 weekly for support. The mother and child have been living here with the father, Mr. Moss. The child is eight months old.

Sperry Named Board Chairman In County Supervisors Session

Robert E. Sperry of Bushnell was chosen chairman of the board of supervisors in the organization session. Wilt served as temporary chair. Committees were named including Finance, General Claims, Pauper Claims, Building and Grounds, Fee Bills, Petitions and Miscellany, Read and Bridge, Legislation, County Charities, with members listed for each group. Serious health concerns were noted for residents, reflecting an era when heart disease affected many motorists and city inhabitants.
