Levee breaks east of town failed to relieve the city, rail traffic on the B and O stops, and several businesses fear collapse as water fills basements and damaged storefronts. Farther north, 12 miles northwest of Carrolton, fifty farmers lose stock and crops as valley flood reaches 9 feet.
Augusta, TIL April 12. John Bozey aged 70 was found dead in bed at his sister Mrs Ed Stotts home early this morning. He had long suffered heart disease. No inquest will be held as he was under a physician’s care and no surviving relatives besides his sister exist.
