Man Killed by Train in Bushnell Misses Warning
James Fredmore aged 70 president of the Scottsburg neighborhood was killed at 1 30 p m when a switch engine struck him at the Hurst street crossing in Bushnell. Deafness kept him from noticing the approaching locomotive and only part of his body was passed over before the engine was reversed. Remains taken to Butterfield undertaking as an inquest was planned that afternoon. Fredmore was a well known Scottsburg resident.

County superintendent B E Decker announced rural and town boards will vote for boards of education and school directors on Saturday April 8. A new law moved election day to the second Saturday each month. Ballot returns must go to township treasurers within ten days after voting.

Chicago reports Cook County grand jury returned four true bills in an inquiry into irregularities in licensing druggists and physicians. W H H Miller, director of registration and education, his son in law K M Fries, an department employee N Borque, and William B Cromarock a local druggist were named.
