Election results show Democrats gaining three county supervisors while Republicans hold several seats. The unofficial tally lists new supervisors for towns including Colchester, Macomb, Prairie City, Industry, and Sciota, with party lines and local offices detailed.

Roscoe C Arbuckle testified in his third trial on a manslaughter charge over Miss Virginia Rappe s death He described events at the hotel where he says Miss Rappe suffered fatal injuries after whiskey and orange soda were served and he asserted other details largely as in prior trials
Gerald Blodgett a 15 year old who attempted suicide by shooting self near Plymouth was found unconscious and moved to St. Marys hospital. Despondency over unemployment is suspected. He is improving though not in serious condition per his physician. He is nephew of EB Blodgett contractor.
Governor Small waived challenge to Gake County jury list drawing venue from box names. Attorney Cady, famed for the Will Orphet murder case, argued women cannot serve as jurors under current Illinois law, but Judge Edwards indicated not to force that question with the supervisors able to use 10 percent of voters for juror eligibility.
In Macomb the election produced an 80 vote margin to abolish the city court with 1305 in favor and 469 against. Total votes cast about 1837, making the two thirds majority for abolition. Imes, a Democrat, won the assessor post over Republican Thompson. Other races included Democrat Geo Doak defeating Republican Dr E Yard for alderman Second Ward. F. W. Laughlin Republican narrowly beat Democrat F. W. Lyons for Fourth Ward alderman by four votes.
Judge Edwards urged the lawyers to vet a plan for selecting a jury to avoid further trial delays. The discussion followed concerns that the jury list was defective unless based on the total voting list, and judges asked for a joint agreement.
Kansas City voters elect Democratic mayor Frank M. Cromwell over Republican Matthew W. Foster by about 14,000 in an election seen as a strong Democratic showing. The city, usually Republican, saw nearly all Democratic candidates top their GOP rivals.
Rev Ro Vance wrapped up a 15 day revival at the Fairmont Presbyterian Church in Pike County. Twenty two individuals professed faith and will join the church, as Vance plans to return to the field on April 23.
Methodist Episcopal Services will be held each evening this week except Saturday. The pastor will preach Tuesday Wednesday and Friday evenings. The Men's Bible Class will have charge of the services on Thursday evening. Addresses will be given by Fo EB Van Cleve WR Ey.
The Women's Foreign Missionary Society of the M. E. church will meet at the church on Wednesday April five at two thirty in the afternoon. All ladies are invited. A treasurer call seeks donations for dues. The program includes devotions, Africa and Latin America talk, Easter India drama, music, mystery box questions, and hostesses listed.
Springfield April 5 Col C R Miller of the department of public works and buildings announced the letting of bids for 2 707 000 barrels of Portland cement completion of Governor Small s hard road program for 1922 was assured today
George Sappington of Blandinsville pleaded guilty in Justice Palkenthal's court to assault and battery. He was fined and costs totaling 21.75 dollars. Complainant was Sheet Coyle. The incident occurred Sunday evening at the Sappington restaurant in Blandinsville. Coyle received a black eye.
