Snowmobile Safety Standards Tweak Passed by Legislature
The legislatures law amendments committee approved lowering the minimum fine for individuals failing to meet snowmobile safety standards from 200 to 50 dollars while penalties for companies stay at 1000 to 5000 dollars and up to a year in jail. The bill now bans youths under 16 from riding snowmobiles over 340 cc unless with an adult, and muffler noise limits become mandatory with no insurance references in the bill.

Two-part Licence May Be Requirement
Manitoba drivers face a two part licence pending Highways Traffic Act amendments.
