Outlook Encouraging For Feed Grains In Canada

Dr. Donald A. Dever of the Canada Grains Council says world meat output could double by 1980, boosting feed-grain demand. He cites 875 million tons of sparse grains needed and predicts Canadian barley exports may top 175 million bushels this year, with 706 million by 1971. Expansion depends on market timing, pricing, transport, and improved varieties to fit prairie needs.
