Lofty flagpole raised at Lynden city park landmark
The 80 ft flagpole donated by Hans Berthuson was raised last Friday by Knights of Pythias members atop a hill near the park entrance. The pole, over 70 feet tall, was painted white and will be a lasting city feature. A picnic marked the event with Sisters of the order providing a meal, and Victor Bussard received much credit for supervising the setup and raising without incident.
