Tractor caravan to stop in Lynden
Twenty two Fordson tractors with brakes and tire types will visit Lynden for a power farming and land clearing campaign. The Fordson Demonstration led by Lieutenant Governor W J Coyle travels from Seattle and will be at Lynden July 25 5 pm to 8 am July 26 with lectures and a land clearing demonstration near Bellingham on Ferndale road July 27. Five prizes are offered and the event promotes rapid stump and log removal using a donkey engine attachment on the Fordson tractor.

Lynden farmers plan to join the first annual County Farm Bureau picnic on Saturday July 30 at 10 a m at the Pioneer Picnic Grounds near Ferndale. Basket lunches noon coffee cream and ice cream supplied. members bring their own lunches. Professor E C Johnson of Washington State College will deliver the main address. Children’s games are planned by the entertainment committee chaired by R W Mize president.

Hay-Loader Incident Leaves Car Upset on Hannegan Road
Mrs. Jake Roosma and two children were driving to Lynden in a Ford when the hay-loader on the M. Van der Griend farm distracted Mrs. Roosma. The car veered off the pavement and overturned. Mrs. Roosma and a child were pinned but suffered no injuries.
