1000 Strong Lynden enrolls in Red Cross drive
The Lynden district reports about 1014 members in the Red Cross Christmas Roll Call. Captain W A Fisher led Lynden with Captain W E Preston overseeing Glendale and Delta. Last year Lynden tally was under 500 and Glendale-Delta under 75, making this year’s roll nearly double. Lynden Boy Reported Missing in Action Recovered by Germans

Funeral Services Held for J. W. Lindsay
Friends gathered at Lynden cemetery for the funeral of J. W. Lindsay who died Friday after a brief illness. The service was conducted by Rev. W. O. Benadom. He leaves a widow and one son, three brothers, and one sister. Lindsay was born in Nebraska on June 21, 1871 and raised in Blaine after moving to Washington that year. John Theel has been honorably discharged from the army and is at home. Charles Bussard returned home for the holidays.
