Navy christens Pargo sub with LBJ initials at Groton
The 292 foot ballistic missile submarine Pargo, the navy’s 24th nuclear attack sub, was launched at Electric Boat in Groton. The ceremony featured a Johnson initials inscription on the keel by Mrs. Holloway with Rear Adm. Bell as principal speaker and several former Pargo crew members present.
