Guerrillas Aid MacArthur In Leyte Landings
Military observers note guerrillas supplied crucial intelligence that aided MacArthur during the Leyte invasion. He reportedly announced 250,000 Japanese troops and named seven divisions, suggesting guerrilla reports helped reveal defenses.
