Lubbock area eight requests for zoning variances or special exemptions are scheduled to be aired Thursday in the local proceedings. The items appear in the A J Texas edition under Section B.
Avalanche-Journal reports six Lubbock banks hold deposits totaling $280,459,305.61 as of Oct. 13 following a call by the comptroller of the currency FDIC and the Federal Reserve. The sum marks a new seasonal high, up $22,740,220.92 from October 1964 and $15,706,483.67 above the June 30 call.

NASA plans the Gemini 6 mission as a two day 29 orbit flight with Walter Schirra and Thomas Stafford pursuing the first satellite rendezvous. The craft aims for a bulls eye Atlantic landing about 1200 miles east of Palm Beach with experiments aboard.
