Air Force strikes hit North Vietnamese depots and camps

Air Force planes bombed supply depots near the zone north of Vietnam and set afire two storage areas and a trans shipment point about 30 miles southeast of Dong Hoi. They also attacked a military camp 25 miles northeast of Thanh Hoa and reported destroying three antiaircraft sites and leaving the area in flames.

Four Brushy Canyon Fires Threaten Homes and Rocket Facility

Four separate brush fires raged across Southern California causing evacuations and damage. Flames from the largest blaze scorched about 1,100 acres near Rocketdyne and came within 20 yards of a liquid oxygen plant while winds to 75 mph hampered firefighting.
