Snyder McLaughlin Rites Set Special To The Avatano
Mrs. CLT. McLaughlin a Snyder resident died Sunday in Cog dell Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Services will be held Tuesday at Bell-Seale Panoral Home Chapel with burial in Hillside Memorial Gardens. She lived in Snyder 27 years, was active in United Methodist Church and civic affairs, and was a University of Tennessee graduate and former public school teacher. Her husband, a Scurry County rancher and banker, was a Texas Tech board member and served on the State Commission of Public Safety. The couple aided Tech’s museum and Western Texas College. McLaughlin founded the Dismond M Foundation and was active in Democratic Party affairs, serving on state executive committees and as a director of several banks and law enforcement foundations. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, a son, two sisters, and 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
