Fire destroys new First Baptist Church in O'Donnell

Muleshoe Man Killed in Highway 84 Wreck
A 19 year old Muleshoe laborer Alex Rodriguez died when a car carrying his two brothers overturned five miles northwest of Muleshoe on U S Highway 84 at about 6 30 this morning. Augustine Rodriguez the driver and Jimmy Rodriguez survived with minor injuries. The brothers were returning from a dance in Clovis New Mexico. The accident raised the South Plains traffic death toll for 1950 to 97, ten short of 1949 totals. Highway Patrolman Kniffen said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed.
