Seven people were injured in a head on crash half a mile south of Lamesa on the Big Spring highway Friday at about 5 30 p m Pablo Reyes 54 of San Antonio and his wife were in serious condition at Lamesa General Hospital Reyes suffered a fractured left arm a skull fracture and remained unconscious late Saturday night Mrs Reyes 50 had facial lacerations and a skull fracture The car carried Alberto Rendon 24 with minor bruises and released Saturday Mrs Rendon 23 had a broken leg and lacerations but was in good condition Rendon s young daughter was unhurt R Rainey 23 of Lamesa had minor injuries and was not hospitalized Two men riding with him James Kirland 27 and Martell Martin 20 both of Lamesa had lacerations and minor hurts and were released from Price Hospital Highway Patrolmen investigated and said Reyes pulled out to pass a truck and collided with oncoming traffic No charges would be filed pending questioning of Reyes
