Fiery Crash Kills Man in Dimmitt Area
An Avoca man, Troy Preston Allen, was killed when a pickup collided head on with a loaded beef truck on U.S. 385 between Dimmitt and Hereford. Ruben Casas, 27, of Dimmitt, sustained facial lacerations and shock, was treated and listed as satisfactory. The wreck scene halted traffic for about 30 minutes. Allen died at the scene. Funeral services are pending in Winters.
