An astronomer says a bright fireball seen across North Texas likely was an exploding meteor, a bolide, possibly in Cameloparcus in the Arctic. The pale blue flash lit skies from Athens to Farmersville and northern Euless residents reported a long lasting glow before dawn.

Halloween Bandit Robs Kiddie City Store At Gunpoint

A Halloween-masked man held two employees at Kiddie City on 34th Street at gunpoint and escaped with about $100. Witnesses, including Jeanne Barnes and Richard Priesmeyer, described the daring robbery and the bandit briefly removed his mask as he fled.
