Tech Coed Struck By Car On College Crosswalk
Twenty year old Kay Powell Snyder College student at Texas Tech living in Weeks Hall was struck by a car while crossing College Avenue crosswalk around 10 p m Thursday. She was taken to Methodist Hospital for observation by a Rix Funeral Home ambulance. Police identified the driver as Felton Allen Smith Odessa resident also a Tech student. Powell’s companion, who was with her, was not injured.
