Aguero Sues Lubbock Officer Over Broken Arm Incident
In U S District Court, 21 year old Texas Tech student Billy Aguero tests his civil rights claim against Lubbock Police Sgt. Billy Stafford after a May 19 1976 arrest at the police station. Aguero says he was choked and his left arm broken during the struggle after being refused a pass and ordered out. Stafford testifies that Aguero was unruly and disobeyed orders prompting force. The judge expects no review and will rule later on the $25 000 suit.
