An explosion at a well site 18 miles south of here in Dawson County shattered windows and killed Lance Casey, 28, and Dave Laster, 34, Saturday afternoon. Nearly 2,900 graduates received degrees at Texas Tech University's 45th annual commencement at Municipal Coliseum. The ceremony drew about 6,000 relatives and friends as Pecora spoke on environmental crisis causes and cures and urged a sensible trade off of values instead of shutting off key technologies.
