A refinery 0.5 miles south of Reese Air Force Base was leveled by an explosion and fire on Thursday night. One man, owner W A Cantwell of Lubbock, survived with minor injuries after being blown from the doorway. Littlefield Airman Killed in New York Crash
Tech. Sgt. Kenneth D. Billings 29 of Littlefield Texas was killed Thursday when his car struck a utility pole after a left front tire blew out. He had served ten years in the Air Force and was stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base. His wife Jonell lived with him in Plattsburgh.

Fireman Dies As School Is Burned
