Star Steve Cochran's body found in Guatemala drone tow

Police report a boat carrying the Hollywood actor's body was towed to Port Champerico Guatemala. Cochran aged 48 had been dead about 10 days and an autopsy planned. Three women aboard detained. Body flown to Guatemala City by air force. Details limited. Cochran known for Mae West films and Warner Bros contract. He married three times, including Fay McKenzie and Jonna Jensen.

Six To Vie For Gemini Moon Trip

Six scientists-astronauts were chosen by NASA for moon field trips joining 28 pilots in training. An announced plan also links Frank Borman and James Lovell to a two week earth orbit Gemini flight in 1966. The Houston Chronicle reported the selection while NASA confirmed it. The six are Gibson Garriott Michel Graveline and Graveline is Vermont native who graduated from the University and is a father of four.

Brown Wins Special Legislative Election

In a special election caused by the death of Democrat Ed J. Carpenter, Roger Brown won the 78th District seat by about 100 votes. Brown led with 1,176 votes to Frank Hardesty's 1,276, while Republican Harold Hall trailed with 925 ballots.

Hungarian fighter stabbed aiding insulted wife on New York subway

Joseph Juhasz 42 a building superintendent was stabbed in the chest on a New York subway after he intervened as three men insulted Mrs Patricia Oliver and her husband. He was taken to Roosevelt Hospital in fair condition. The assailants were arrested and charged with felonious assault and illegal possession of a weapon.
