Market Dips as Fed Cites Tax Hike Uncertainty

New York stocks and bonds posted a mild decline in light trading on Friday. The Dow fell 2.90 to 94.26 as volume reached 6.59 million. the Associated Press index slipped to 322.1 while the S and P 500 edged up to 86.51. Gains in Boeing Teledyne and Chicago Pneumatic were offset by losses inGM Chrysler Magnavox and major steel and airline shares.
