Lubbock man held after Matador bank robbery and abduction
Sammy Horton, 24, a Texas Tech senior, was jailed in Lubbock County after a $9,042 Matador bank robbery and the abduction of a woman hostage in Floyd County. He was captured at a roadblock north of Floy dada with two hostages in a car. Horton, who lived at 1318 28th St, Merkel, said he was majoring in education. He was moved to Floydada and then Matador for hearings as authorities filed armed robbery charges.
