Cadet Fannin among 200 chosen for 10 week Texas Maritime Academy voyage
Stephen Fannin of Monte Rey High School, son of Mr and Mrs Cam Fannin, is among 200 Texas A&M University cadets accepted for a 10 week summer sea school aboard the Texas Clipper June 12 to Aug 13. The program covers six credits in English and math with ports including New York Oslo Rotterdam Lisbon Barcelona Las Palmas and San Juan. Cadets will wear academy uniforms, study culture, scuba dive in Galveston beforehand, and may transfer courses to other universities. Stephen is NAWI certified and plans to continue summer sea study until graduation at Texas A&M University where his brothers have pursued degrees.
