U S naval air strikes from three carriers off North Vietnam sank or damaged 232 enemy supply boats, with 100 boats damaged and 82 sunk, as planes hunted boats on rivers and canals south to Cape Mullon. Tech receives matching ranch grants for arid lands center

At a closed dinner at Lubbock Country Club Texas Tech accepted two gifts of 25000 and 50000 dollars toward a ranch headquarters fund for the International Center for Arid and Semi Arid Lands Studies Museum complex. The funds require a further 75000 dollars in matching gifts.
