Fire drives 500 from Time Life Building in New York

Walter Yearick of Cirencester uncovered a black and white 20 square foot Second Century A.D. mosaic in his garden and plans to sell the stones at 4.80 dollars each. Beaten Airmen Robbed Near Weber Drive

Two airmen were robbed at gunpoint and one was beaten at a creekside pit near Mie Simmons Park, off Weber Drive in West Lubbock. James A. Roskowski led officers to the site after escaping three men and a woman who forced them to drive to the pit. Ross and Roskowski reported cash and watches stolen. one assailant fired a pistol during the holdup. Police pursued multiple leads as investigators probed the attack and related robberies at local stations and on University Avenue.
