Three Lubbockites Burned In Mishap

An explosion at a farm home on Route 2 in Lubbock Friday evening seriously burned three people. Mrs Merle Caswell 36 and Clarine Henderson 18 of 3706 43rd St were flown to John Sealy Hospital in Galveston after initial treatment at Methodist Hospital. Clarence Caswell 51 of 43rd St was admitted in good condition. Investigators said they were cleaning a water line with butane when the blast occurred.

Hobbs Family Plane Crash Killings Found Near Utah

A single engine Piper Cherokee carrying J F Jeansonne 48 his wife Genie and daughter Suzanne was found burned in Fishlake National Forest south east of Salina Utah after missing since June 11. Jeansonne supervised Humble Oil at Hobbs and the family had two sons and a daughter not on the flight. The wreckage was discovered by a Utah sheep herder. three CAP planes were lost earlier in the search.
