Novice Designers Tap History For Modern Style At Tech
About 40 Texas Tech apparel design students study historical dress and create wearable pieces on display at The Museum until Feb 13. Projects include flat patterns and half scale draping. Dresses reinterpret Elizabethan ruffs, leg of mutton sleeves, empire waists, flappers, and ancient Egyptian tunics with space age fabrics and updated silhouettes. Guided by Mrs Kay Caddel and Dr Eleanor Woodson.
