Masked trio robs New England Food Center in six minute heist
In Boston three masked bandits armed with a shotgun struck the New England Food Center minutes after a Brink's currency delivery. They seized about $40,000, packed cash in a white pillow case, then fled in a stolen black sedan. Police reported no staff upstairs noticed the theft.

A Plainview woman was killed and her estranged husband seriously wounded in a Friday night double shooting. J B Laurent, 42, who survived, was taken to a hospital and provided a cryptic account claiming the wife shot him while police investigated overnight.
