City To Get Field Office For Pipeline Project

Man Held In City Theft

A Lubbock man admitted breaking into his employer's firm, stealing 300 cash and 1500 in checks, then reporting the burglary. William Drake Foy, 30, is jailed on charges after confessing during police questioning at DeWitt Electric Co. He said he needed money and used a key to enter, then burned many checks along the highway. He also claimed only 116 dollars in bills and 16 in change remained. Two Benton, Arkansas youths, 17, were arrested for transporting a stolen car across state lines and admitted taking the vehicle last Saturday. They passed two forged checks and took a generator near Shallowater after arriving in Lubbock last Sunday.
